Welcome

Welcome to my blog. I am a photographer specialising in newborn baby photography. The majority of my photosessions are held in my studio, but I also enjoy photographing sessions on location. Please stay a while and enjoy the posts, read upto date news, and if you like what you see and would like to know more about what I do, please get in touch, ask me anything, or book a photosession. I'd love to hear from you.

Blink [and I think I missed it]

Erm, was it me or did Christmas Day actually happened? I think it did, but not quite sure - well of course I know it happened, but seriously, we're in the New Year already? Can't quite grasp that the whole Christmas holiday period has been and gone, it just seemed to have gone by so quickly...I must admit Christmas Day went in a whirlwind, as I had ten of us to cook for, so I think I finally sat down at about 5pm that day...but it was lovely, my son was so excited as most four year old's are, and ripped open his presents with great gusto. I did really well with the really lovely pressies from family, especially from hubby.

I went back to work at the beginning of this week, the kid went back to school on Tuesday, but that evening we had a tremendous amount of snow that fell in our region and thus the schools shut yesterday and again today, due to the icy conditions.

Yesterday and today is 'Snow Day's' off of work and school. The kid couldn't wait to get out into the snow yesterday and I took some precious shots of him enjoying the moment - here's just a few...

I have to admit I love the snow, and it has been really lovely to be at home spending time with the little one, and to just enjoy the gorgeous snow view from our sofa, no cars running up and down the street, no postman disturbing us, etc, etc. Being snuggled up under my lovely faux fur throw, fire on, all cosied up, and watching tv, sounds bliss doesn't it?

It may sound corny, but it's these moments that you have to enjoy, not the rushing about, the routine of trying to get yourselves ready, the kid ready, then out, to school/work, the basic humdrum of life, and it is true that once in a while it's nice just stop, slow down and really feel at home.
Ok, you could all say that didn't we just have that period over Christmas and New Year - yep, so why stop now LOL! Seriously though, you get my sentiment, but yeah, while it lasts I'll enjoy every minute thank you very much - which could mean I'm back to work and little one is back to school tomorrow - ho hum!

Oh, and yeah, Happy New Year!
