Welcome

Welcome to my blog. I am a photographer specialising in newborn baby photography. The majority of my photosessions are held in my studio, but I also enjoy photographing sessions on location. Please stay a while and enjoy the posts, read upto date news, and if you like what you see and would like to know more about what I do, please get in touch, ask me anything, or book a photosession. I'd love to hear from you.

It's just the beginning...

Sorry I've been posting a lot of the 'beginning' of the wedding details recently, I'll be doing them in various stages of the wedding that I have recently featured in future blog posts.

To let you know how I 'work' when I do weddings, my usual request is to visit the bride an hour or so before the ceremony starts, this gives me the time I need to photograph the bride getting ready; so I photograph the little details (as I have continually mentioned before, (shoes, dress, rings, bouquet, etc)) then having their hair and make-up done, getting into their dress, a few portrait poses with them and their bouquet, then photos with their mum or whoever is there at the time. Then I leave generally half an hour to get to the church, catpure the groom and best man etc, and then it goes on from there. I obviously discuss all plans with the bride and groom beforehand, who they would like in the group shots etc, any special requirements, this is all done in consultations before the wedding ever gets underway, I find that most enquiries are done at least a year or so with their chosen date, so everything is planned well in advance. I even had a booking in July of 2008 for their wedding in August 2010!

So as I like to post with photos here is another look at some recent 'beginnings' shots.

The finer details

I told you I had a 'thing' for details, what can I say...look at those stunning aquablue earrings, aren't they gorgeous. I love the Amanda Wakeley dress, it is a two-piece; bodice with intricate beads and a sweet little flower 'brooch' attached to it, it has a mermaid skirt with a stunning mermaid train, utt-er-ly gor-geous. Anyway, let the photographs speak for themselves...

Ring my bell, Ring my bell

Ok, I'm a huge fan of Enrique Iglesias what can I say? (The title of this is one of his songs if you don't quite get what I'm on about LOL!) so anyway, I don't think they'll be any chance of him getting a ring on my finger, (and I'm married now so...outta luck there buddy ;P) these rings are just something aren't they?

It's all in the details

I'm a stickler for little details, I like to look at small touches that some people probably never acknowledge or care to know, I'm pretty observant when it matters. I look at shoes, the inside of peoples front rooms when they don't have any curtains (well, why not?!) I'm looking for inspiration - decor, doesn't anyone, ok, ok, I'm just nosey! Anyway, I love details I think its important, especially on your wedding day, when everything goes by in a fleeting moment, let me capture the smallest details to be remembered for always - oh gawd, that sounds corny, I'll stop now...;P
