Well folks, the christmas season is officially here, you can't move for christmas ads, trees, ideas for gifts, what to wear for parties, how much booze you should or shouldn't consume, whose coming over for christmas day, it goes on. In other words GET INTO THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT regardless! You hear it countless times about how stressful it is - but really I think only if you let it, Christmas seems to get more pressurised every year, so...don't...let...it, enjoy the concept of what Christmas is all about - being able to enjoy the 'comfort' of that Christmassy feeling, having the Christmas decs up, fireplace on, listening to favourite christmas tunes and singing along to them. Having an excuse to watching Christmas films which makes us feel all warm and fuzzy, which regresses us back to childhood. Well, that sure doesn't spell 'stress' to me.
I have to feed the five thousand again this year, and even though I know I'll spend most of the day in the kitchen preparing and cooking, and then flaking out at the end of the day when I get the chance to sit down for five minutes - will all be worth it because I will have the family around, enjoying the company and having a day shared with loved ones.
I know Christmas is meant for kids, and my son no less will be expecting santa and his sleigh to be filled to the brim with toys that he has circled around on the pages of Toys 'R' us (!) to be delivered down our chimney on Christmas Eve...and hopefully Santa has noted all that I've circled on the pages of the Louis Vuitton catalogue (and Uggs and Mulberry, I could go on) - oh sweet joy...! I too am a big kid at heart...who isn't?!
