Merry Christmas

Before I forget I'd like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas - as I will forget amidst this chaos leading up to the day! ;P We have the family around again this Christmas, so as usual my hubby and I shall be upto the eyeballs in getting the dinner prepared - but amongst all the goings on I actually love having everyone around, as a child (an only child at that) I envisioned a life of huge family gatherings, as it was only ever my mum, dad and grandmother at Christmas and that was it, as all my other friends and family had brother and sisters and the rest of the clan, so I guess its my way of making up in terms of having special times like this at Christmas to have everyone close to me round to celebrate!

So peeps, again have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year 2009!

A new direction

My mind has been brewing lately with new ideas. I love all things creative and I thrive on thinking up new ways in which to take my thinking and passion for photography further. I started this journey nearly a year ago when I purchased my first DSLR. I always knew in my heart that I wanted to do something creative, personal and ever progressing, and I think I've found it in photography. I find my day's filled with what next...and I just feel that each day I learn something new, and I'm hoping that my future within photography will continue to evolve in my everyday learning.

I have decided that I want to venture more into maternity and newborn photography, two of the most exciting and intimate times that I feel should be captured on camera forever. I love photographing mothers-to-be, some revel in their all, being pregnant and glowing, and I want to capture that time. As with newborns the fact that when they are all in their smooshy and curled up self (as they would have been in the womb) is something that should also be remembered, as babies (as we all know) grow up so very, very quickly. I have added a new blog to go alongside my website and this blog to separate my newborn and mother-to-be postings. This is to solely concentrate on clients who book for newborn sessions where I can post their 'sneak peek' teasers!
